IVAF
In yet another step in pursue of its vision to create awareness and appreciation of historic collectibles the world over, CIPHM presents one of the biggest collections of Vintage Advertisements from Global publications including Newspapers and Magazines from various regions, eras and languages of the world. International Vintage Advertisement Fair will be the first ever advertising fair to be held at this scale showcasing a curated collection backed by research and content of over 40,000 vintage advertisements from the 19th and 20th century.
The advertisement fair would be an entity and a forum which aims to bring together the iconic evolution of not only advertising but also signify the growth of corporates, regions, economic cycles, historical relevance, product segments, incidences in the last century.
The fair will bring together vintage advertisements under one roof from numerous publications belonging to various regions, languages and cultures of the world. IVAF will be a yearly It will exhibit different vintage advertisements from global newspapers and magazines every season, distinctly curated based on various themes such as fonts, period, growth of corporates, regions, economic cycles, historical relevance, product segments, incidences etc.
The Global Fair will be held in various parts of the world, exhibiting in regions like South East Asia, India, South Asia, Mid East, UK and US. Access to a vast collection and in its consistent effort to enhance the existing collection enables CIPHM to present new themes and advertisements every year at such a scale at various parts of the globe. It further aims to bring other collectible facets of publications for exhibiting globally including editions on cartoons, photographs, puzzles, etc bringing the vastness of knowledge, history and creativity banded and curated together in an eclectic mix of publications.
NEWSPAPER BIENNALE
For the very first time in India, we are proud to introduce the Newspaper Biennale — a groundbreaking cultural initiative that reimagines the humble newspaper not just as a vehicle for daily information, but as a living canvas for artistic expression, historical archival, and social critique.
Features of the Proposed Newspaper Biennale will include
1. Historical & Rare Archives-
Showcasing rare, original newspaper editions, historical front pages covering major global events, and early printed periodicals.
2. Journalism & Editorial Retrospectives:
Curated thematic sections analysing how news coverage, photojournalism, graphic layouts, and headlines changed across eras and political shifts.
3. Seminars & Panel Discussions:
Talks featuring historians, veteran journalists, archivists, and media scholars discussing press freedom, the evolution of news design, and the transition from print to digital media.
4. Contemporary Art & Cartoons:
Exhibitions dedicated to editorial cartography, political satire, and print art created using newsprint as a medium.
